Here are some resources that this site likes and are great for good information. They are presented here in no particular order.
The United States Government's own data publishing site. It is a clearing house of data from multiple sources. The formats of which are aimed at users who want to do their own analysis of the underlying data rather than look at prepackaged visualizations.
Steve Balmer's site presents a lot of useful data in a manner that easy to digest.
The content of this blog is more about life in general, rather than anything political or historical. This blog, however, is much of the inspiration for what I would like to achieve with this blog.
